New Delhi: In an opinion poll released on Tuesday, the performance of Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has been rated "above average".

However, the rating of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is higher than that of his government.

As per the poll conducted by ABP News-Nielsen, 46 percent of the respondents rated the government as very good or good.

Modi got a rating of very good or good from 54 percent of those polled.

The opinion poll concludes that if the Lok Sabha elections were to be held tomorrow, NDA is likely to get 38 percent vote share, which will give it 301 seats as against 339 seats in May 2014 polls.

The Congress-led UPA is likely to get a vote share of 28 percent, which will give it 108 seats compared to 62 seats in the previous elections, it said.

The poll said the BJP is likely to get 43 percent of the vote share and the Congress 14 percent with Aam Admi Party (AAP) bagging four percent of the votes, bigger than any other regional players.

The survey conducted to understand the "mood of the nation" shows that around 47 percent of respondents think that Modi's popularity is decreasing day by day but 45 percent of the respondents think otherwise.
