New Delhi: HS Bramha, who assumed charge as the Chief Election Commissioner on Friday, said that his main target is to conduct the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls in a 'perfect manner'.
"My most important mission right now is Delhi state elections, our aim is conduct these elections in free and perfect manner," he said.
Bramha further said he was extremely humbled by the great opportunity and responsibility given to him by the government.
"The Election Commission of India has established a gold standard in elections management of our great country. In the last 65 years, we have completed 16 general elections of our Lok Sabha," he added.
Bramha took over as the Chief Election Commissioner from VS Sampath, who demitted office yesterday.
