New Delhi: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav was at it again. During the national convention of his party's women wing, the former UP chief minister had a foot-in-the-mouth moment when he made a brazen remark on the appearance of one of his party's female workers.

According to reports, Yadav, while drawing attention of the gathering towards his party leader Leelawati Kushwaha, said, “She is not even beautiful, yet I've made her MLC.”

He further went on to say, “Though she is not beautiful, yet she faced lathicharge on behalf of the party. She was made MLC after considering her contribution and works.”

This is not the first time Yadav has made such remarks disgracing women, earlier too he drew flak over his controversial statements.

Talking on rape cases, Yadav had said, “while one man commits rape, four are named to settle scores and that rape by four persons is not practical.”

Moreover, while articulating his opposition to the long pending Women's Reservation Bill in 2012, Yadav had said, “Rural women will not benefit from women reservation bill. It is always the affluent women who benefit because rural women are not attractive.”
