New Delhi: Union Minister Maneka Gandhi had a very special gift for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 65th birthday.
As per a report in the Economic times, a few days after September 17, which is PM's birthday, Maneka gifted him a very rare sacred treasure. After days of hunt it was found in Dehradun and special arrangements were made to transport it to Delhi.
Maneka gifted Modi a sapling of Ficus Krishnae, commonly known as Makhan Katori or Krishna Badh, is a tree whose leaf is in the shape of a cup – Lord Krishna's Butter Cup.

As per the lore, once Krishna was caught red-handed stealing butter by his mother Yashoda. To escape from punishment, Krishna rolled the butter in a leaf of Ficus Krishnae. It is believed that the leaves of the tree took the shape of a cup after this incident and ever since it remained in the same shape as Krishna had rolled it.
As per the ET, the sapling is for the 7 Race Course Road garden.
