Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished a speedy and full recovery for External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who underwent a scheduled kidney transplant at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Saturday .

Sushma had on November 16 announced on her official Twitter handler that she was admitted to AIIMS because of her kidney failure.

The 64-year-old, who has been in and out of AIIMS for the last few months, was admitted to the hospital on November 7.
According to sources, the transplant procedure began at 8.30 a.m and ended around 2.30 p.m today.
