Maharashtra Board SSC Class 10th Result 2015 declared; girls outshine boys

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Monday declared the Maharashtra SSC Results 2015.

Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Monday declared the Maharashtra SSC Results 2015.

An overall pass percentage of 91.46, considered the best so far, has been registered with girls outshining boys.

In what has now become a customary practise, girls outshone boys posting an overall pass percentage of 92.94 as against 90.18 percent registered by successful boys.

Division-wise, Konkan topped the list with 96.54 percent with Latur division was at the bottom with 86.38 percent, chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Gangadhar Mahmane said while announcing the results.

Following are the division-wise results:

Amrawati 86.84 percent, Aurangabad 90.57 percent, Kolhapur 95.12 percent, Konkan 96.46 percent, Latur: 86.38 percent, Mumbai 92.90 percent, Nagpur 87.01 percent, Nasik: 92.16 percent, Pune 95.10 percent.

An estimated 17.32 lakh students had appeared for the examination.

Students will receive transcripts of their results on June 15 at 3 pm from their schools. Those who want to get their marks re-checked can contact the relevant departments with an application and a photocopy of their marksheet on June 25.

Based in Pune, MSBSHE is an autonomous body that conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations through its nine divisional boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri.
