New Delhi: Congress leader Manish Tewari on Sunday condemned the death of journalist Akshay Singh, who was covering the Vyapam scam and asked whether the deaths will take away the quest for truth.

"Is A death a day the Vyappam way? Can Akshay Singh mysteriously pass away? Is it Polonium all the way?Will deaths take quest for truth away," Tewari tweeted.

The Congress had earlier in the day demanded a CBI probe into the Vyapam scam and described the attack on media personnel as an attack on democracy.Akshay Singh, a journalist with the TV Today Group, died suddenly yesterday when he had gone to take an interview of the family of a slain Vyapam scam accused in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh.

Reports say that Singh felt chest pain while he was taking the interview. He was taken to the Meghnagar hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
