New Delhi: Barely three days after the announcement of the same in the budget, the Minister of Railways Suresh Prabhu on Monday launched a Web portal and mobile application for users to lodge complaints against problems faced in utilising services.

While launching the Website and App that works on Android and Windows platforms, Prabhu said that the ‘Customer Complaint-cum-Suggestion’ portal and mobile App can be freely downloaded and used to register and track status of complaints registered on the portal.

"There should not be any complaints ideally, but if about 3 crore passengers will travel in more than 10,000 trains daily, some complaints might come up. So, there should be an effective forum to lodge complaints," he added.

He said that Railways welcome suggestions from the people to further improve the passenger services and valuable suggestions on this newly launched portal can be incorporated in all possible ways, if found suitable.
