Barmer: Talking tough, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who visited BSF's Munabao Border Outpost, said on Saturday that India never attacks anyone but will retaliate and not count bullets if attacked.

"Our heritage is 'Vasudev Kutumbakam' (whole world is one family). We do not intend to occupy others' land. We never open fire first, but if attacked, in retaliation we never count the bullets after pulling the trigger," he said.

After assessing security on border with Pakistan in the wake of surgical strikes, the HM lauding the morale of the BSF personnel despite adverse temperature and difficult desert terrain.

At the same time, he assured them that government would do everything to improve the border infrastructure and their service condition.

He added that the damaged border fence at some places would be urgently repaired and floodlighting and a parallel road along the border fencing would also be completed to facilitate effective border patrolling.

Singh said that the ministry would also address the shortage of bullet proof jackets.

Pak markings on grenades seized from terrorists in Naugam: Army

Meanwhile, the Army today said that Pakistani markings were found on grenades seized from four slain terrorists in Naugam sector of Kashmir on Thursday, confirming the complicity of the neighbouring country in abetting terrorism.

"Pakistan Ordinance Factory markings on hand grenades (ARGES 84) and UBGL grenades seized from the terrorists confirms Pakistan's complicity in abetting terrorism," an Army spokesman said.

"Pakistani markings are also seen on medicines and eatable items seized by the force," he said, as per PTI.

Four terrorists were killed in a gun battle with the Army in Naugam sector on Thursday while they were trying to sneak into the Valley from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.

He said highly inflammable material, including six plastic explosive slabs, six bottles of petroleum jelly, six bottles of inflammable liquid and six lighters were also seized.

"Similar type of inflammable material was used at Poonch on September 11 and in the Uri attack on September 18. This shows the sinister design of Pakistan to aid terrorists is causing maximum destruction," he added.
