New Delhi: It's a very interesting story of a person - Sajid - who wanted to become a dancer, even auditioned for a dance reality show, but led to believe that a major portion of the Quran taught people to "kill for the sake of religion".

Sajid was arrested by Delhi Police on Tuesday; he has been identified as the main suspect in the aborted Jaish-e-Mohammed terror strike on Hindon airbase.

Sajid, wanted to become dancer, told interrogators that he had been practising his moves in a park when a maulana confronted him and scolded him that this life of music and dance would only land him in Dojakh (hell), according to a report in TOI.

"Maulana asked me to discover my life's real purpose that would take me to Jannat (paradise)," Sajid revealed during interrogation.

After a  few meetings with maulana, Sajid agreed to give up his dance aspirations and then the maulana directed him youth to some websites including Rangonoor.com.

The inflammatory contents of the site led Sajid to believe that a major portion of the Quran taught people to "kill for the sake of religion".

Sajid bought books and downloaded clips to understand about jihad and within months Sajid turned into a highly radicalised youth. With this, he embarked upon the path of jihad.

Reportedly, Sajid used to communicate with other jihadis through WhatsApp.

Sajid was arrested after the Delhi Police foiled a possible terror plot and detained at least 12 members of terrorist outfit Jaish-e- Mohammed (JeM) following multiple raids at several places in Delhi and adjoining areas.
