Srinagar/New Delhi: Arrested Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Naved alias Usman has revealed during interrogation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) that Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed's son Talha played an important role in the attack on BSF convoy in Udhampur district, as per news reports on Saturday.

He added that the two militants were given training before being sent to India to carry out attacks on Talha's instruction.

Talha gave the responsibility of carrying out terror attack to LeT chief for central and south Kashmir, Abu Qasim, who instructed the two Pakistani militants to carry out the terror attack in Udhampur.

Saeed's son monitors terror group Lashkar-e-Toiba's activities and is involved in the process of training and recruiting militants.

Naved also revealed that he was living in Jammu and Kashmir for around two months before the attack and had local support.

He also received help from Lashkar-e-Toiba's sleeper cell.

During interrogation, Naved reportedly revealed that he along with militants Nouman, Okasha and Mohammad Bhai entered India on June 2 by cutting fence along Line of Control in Kupwara.

The four militants later split and Naved met re-grouped with Nouman to carry out the attack.

The duo travelled Udhampur on a truck with number JK13 2586 and waited for 30 minutes at a dhaba in Narsu on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway as per Qasim's instructions so that the vehicle carrying them has enough time to leave the area.

Nouman, one of the slain terrorist, was Hafiz Saeed's trusted aide and personal security guard.

They later used GPS device to reach Baramulla district where they were helped by LeT Pakistani militant Ubaid.

During interrogation, Naved revealed that LeT chief for central and south Kashmir named Abu Qasim had given him the task to carry out the terror attack in Udhampur.
