Hackers deface Press Club of India website, post derogatory cartoon against PM Modi

New Delhi: The conflict across the Line of Control in Kashmir has spawned a series of skirmishes in the cyber world as well.

A day after websites of actor Mohanlal and Pakistani People's Party's (PPP) were defaced by hackers, the cyber vandals struck again on Thursday — and this time it was the web portal of Press Club of India (PCI) that faced their wrath.

PCI's website was allegedly hacked by a team of Pakistani hackers operating under the monicker ‘Team Cyber Warriors’. The hackers posted a derogatory meme abusing Prime Minsister Narendra Modi alongwith a flag of Pakistan on PressClubofIndia.com.

The messages posted on the portal are the same as the ones on the official website of actor Mohanlal yesterday. It reads: “We (will) never forget what you did against humanity. In Jammu and Kashmir, millions of people are dead. Indian forces killed Kashmiri families, killed innocent children. But no one cared! Your bank accounts, credit cards, servers are in danger."

The last line of the message said, "Dear admins, we just wanted to publish this message. Muslims are not terrorists".

The South actor had on his personal blog — 'The Complete Actor' — supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi on one of the occasions. However, minutes after Mohanlal's website was hacked, it was restored immediately.

The hackers, under the name of 'Team Cyber Warriors' are believed to be Pakistani supporters, who attempted to hack Websites to post their views about 'Free Kashmir'.
