New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal car-pooled with Transport Minister Gopal Rai and Home Minister Satyendra Jain to reach Delhi Secretariat on Monday as Delhi witnessed full implementation of even-odd rule .

Kejriwal's other ministers also followed the same and dumped their cars and used alternate modes to reach office.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who has an even number car, cycled to office.

Reports say that Delhi Traffic Police issued about 2oo challans in the morning office hours. DTC buses and Delhi Metro witnessed usual flow of passengers during peak office hours.

People preferred car-pooling and auto-rickshaws to reach their destinations.

Four days after it was implemented, Kejriwal 's odd-even scheme for vehicular movement faced its real test today when the city witnessed maximum traffic during office hours.

Most of the Delhi's traffic has been off-road since January 1 due to weekend and New Year holidays.

The odd-even vehicular restriction policy of the Delhi government came into effect on January 1 with thousands of volunteers taking to the streets to assist traffic police in enforcing the pilot plan that will stay in force till January 15.

25 categories have received exemption from the restrictions, including emergency service vehicles, taxis and cars being driven by women, which may have only female co-passengers and children up to age of 12. Two wheelers and CNG-run vehicles have also been exempted.
