CPI (M) corners govt for not initiating action against Bhagwant Mann

The AAP MP yesterday posted a video of Parliament`s security positions and details on the social media.

New Delhi: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Thursday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA Government for not taking any action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwat Mann for breaching the Parliament security and sought an explanation for the same.

CPI (M) politburo member Sitaram Yechury wondered as to why no action had been initiated yet despite the government being in majority in the Parliament.

"Whatever it is, I will say that it was breach of security, it was breach of privilege of the Parliament. And on the basis of both an action needs to be taken," said Yechury.

"The BJP has majority in the Lok Sabha; it is their government at the Centre. Why has the Centre not taken any action against him since tomorrow? The government must answer," he added.

The AAP MP yesterday posted a video of Parliament`s security positions and details on the social media. Mann, however, clarified his act after severe criticism from the opposition parties."My only intention was to tell the procedure (during the Zero Hour). I have done nothing to risk the security of the Parliament," he said.
