CBSE declares AIPMT 2015 results; Haryana boy tops exam

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday (August 17) declared the results for All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) for medical and dental courses.

Candidates can log on to http://cbseresults.nic.in/aipmt/aipmt_2015.htm and enter their roll number and date of birth to check their results.

The test was re-conducted on July 25 after the Supreme Court cancelled the examination held on May 3 following the leak of the question paper.

Vipul from Haryana's Jind district topped the exam while Khushi Tiwari from Rajasthan came second. Both the toppers are from the unreserved category, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education which conducted the exam.

A total of 6,32,625 candidates were registered for this examination, out of which only 4,22,859 candidates downloaded the admit card. The examination was conducted at 1,065 centres in 50 cities throughout the country and abroad.

A dress code was prescribed for the test and all the candidates were frisked prior to the examination. More than one lakh officials had ensured the successful and fair conduct of examination, CBSE had said.

The apex court had cancelled the May 3 examination following the leak of the question paper and circulation of the answer keys through electronic devices across 10 states.

The court, by its June 15 verdict, while cancelling the examination held on May 3, had given CBSE four weeks time to re-conduct the examination and declare the result.
