'Achhe din' for accused Amit Shah to Lalit Modi: Digvijay

Bringing Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the line of fire, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh today alleged "achhe din" have arrived for those accused in criminal cases--from Amit Shah, to Ramdev, to Lalit Modi.

New Delhi: Bringing Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the line of fire, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh today alleged "achhe din" have arrived for those accused in criminal cases--from Amit Shah, to Ramdev, to Lalit Modi.

    "ACHHE DIN for all accused of murder false encounter money laundering FEMA from Amit Shah to Ramdev to Lalit Modi. PM silent. ???? ????????", the Congress General Secretary said in a series of tweets.

     Singh appealed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to resign in the wake of her intervention to "help a fugitive".

     "I have greatest regard for Sushmaji. Never expected her to intervene to help a fugitive evading Look Out Notice when he is holidaying !"

     "She may be a victim of inner BJP fight as mentioned but now the matter is in Public Domain I appeal to her conscience and she should resign."

     In another tweet taking a dig at the government over the Lalit Modi issue, Singh remarked "Ramdev and Balkrishna also being investigated by ED under Money Laundering Act for buying property in Scotland. This case may also be closed."

     Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram also took a jibe at the government over the Lalit Modi issue. He tweeted "In the interest of  transparency, Government of India should release the letters written to the UK Chancellor on the Lalit Modi case."
