Girl gang-raped in front of younger sister in Himachal Pradesh, accused held

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in front of her younger sister in Rukhri village near here, following which all three accused have been apprehended, police said on Friday.

Nahan: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in front of her younger sister in Rukhri village near here, following which all three accused have been apprehended, police said on Friday.

The victim, a class IX student, and her 13-year-old sister were threatened and taken to a room here by the accused yesterday, police said.

The minor girls were forced to consume intoxicating syrup, after which the elder sister was gang-raped in the presence of her sibling by the three accused, Superintendent of Sirmour, Soumya Sambsivan, said.

After receiving information, the Nahan police swung into action and caught one of the accused - Monu - at Raipur Rani, while the two other accused were arrested from Joganwali forest adjacent to Nahan town.

They have been identified as Ajay Kumar (31) and Sanni Kumar (31), SP said.

The victim has been send for medical examination.

A case under sections 363, 366, 342, 323, 376D, 506, 120B of IPC and relevant sections of POCSO Act has been registered in the Nahan police station.
