Two people including a woman succumbed to the swine flu today in the city, a senior official said.

Indore: Two people including a woman succumbed to the swine flu today in the city, a senior official said.

"A 39-year-old woman succumbed to the dreaded H1N1 virus when she was shifted from a private nursing home to the Government M Y Hospital after her condition deteriorated. Doctors declared her dead on arrival," Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme's (IDSP) District Unit In-chagre G L Sodhi told PTI.

She was admitted to the hospital on January 3, he said.

Sodhi also informed that a 35-year-old man also succumbed to the dreaded virus in a private hospital in the city. He belonged to Badnagar town in Ujjain district and was admitted to the hospital on January 10.

He also informed that during the New Year, IDSP found two swine flu cases which included the above two victims.

Last year, the IDSP had found ten swine flu cases and among them six died during treatment.
