International Day of Persons with Disabilities: PM Modi salutes specially-abled people

As a sign of honouring the differently-abled people, the PM Narendra Modi tweeted out some messages on its official Twitter account on the occassion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday saluted the specially abled people for their courage and spirit on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

As a sign of honouring the differently-abled people, the Prime Minister tweeted out some messages on its official Twitter account.

Every year on 3rd of December, International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is celebrated through out the world. It is promoted by the United Nations since 1992 that aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.

The day is celebrated with a special theme each year. The theme for this year is 'Inclusion matters: access and empowerment for people of all abilities'.
