British High Commissioner to India James Bevan on Thursday visited polling stations in Patna and neighbouring areas to witness the election process.

"The British High Commissioner visited many polling stations in Patna Sahib and Patliputra Parliamentary seats which witnessed voting today," Mainak De, Eastern India head of Political Press and Public Affairs, British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata.

He also met some candidates including RJD President Lalu Prasad`s daughter Misa Bharti, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha,, Bhojpuri actor and Congress nominee Kunal Singh and Aam Admi Party candidate Parveen Amanullah.

Bevan also made a courtesy call on Governor D Y Patil at Raj Bhawan.
He met Patna District Magistrate N Shravan Kumar and other Election Commission officials.

Patna was the second destination for Bevan for witnessing the Indian election process. Earlier, he had paid a visit to Nagpur.

De said he would visit many more places across the country.
