New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal categorically said on Sunday that there was no question of supporting a Third Front.

He also blamed the media for spreading false rumours and accused them of being “sold out”.

Earlier today, AAP leader Gopal Rai had said that they may extend issue based support to a Third Front government.
"Yes, we may extend issue based support if there is a situation that demands our support to a Third Front government," he told PTI.
He had also said that a decision on future role of the party would be taken after analysing the outcome of the election and any support would be issue-based.
However, later the party distanced itself from his comments. They issued a statement saying that there was no such possibility. It also said that it could not and would not be part of any front which could include parties whose leaders are involved in corruption.
It also said that it has contested the 2014 General Elections to "present a model of alternative politics before the people of the country”, adding that AAP would prefer to sit in Opposition rather than compromise on its core values.
The talk of possible cobbling together of "secular forces" to stop BJP from coming to power has gained momentum in the last couple of weeks with Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and a number of other leaders exuding confidence of such a formation, expecting that Congress would not do well to form UPA III.
But the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had told the media some days back that his party would not support any front. He was hopeful of UPA-3 coming back to power. However, Mulayam is hopeful of the Congress backing a Third Front, as per reports.
AAP has fielded candidates in 422 Lok Sabha seats and Kejriwal had earlier claimed that his party will win at least 100 seats.
AAP surprised many by winning 28 seats in Delhi Assembly elections in December last year in its first outing and had formed the government with outside support of the Congress party who had won eight seats.
Later Kejriwal, who was the CM, resigned after 49 days on the issue of the passage of the Jan Lokpal Bill.
