New Delhi: Senior UP Minister and Samajwadi Party`s known Muslim face Azam Khan on Wednesday hit out at both BJP leaders Narendra Modi and Giriraj Singh for the latter’s controversial remarks linking a particular community with terrorism.
The BJP`s Nawada Lok Sabha candidate, Giriraj, who was booked last month for his hate speech while campaigning for polls, stirred up another controversy through his fresh remarks against a particular community. “Why all terrorists belong to a particular community. Why so called secular parties keep mum when all the persons arrested in terrorism cases are from one community,” he questioned.
Singh further said that Pakistan is trying its best to stop Modi to become the prime minister. “There are some people, who are living in India but are pro-Pakistan, pro-terrorism and want to stop Modi,” adding, “they have no place in India and they should go to Pakistan,” Giriraj asserted.
Retaliating to his remarks, Khan said that if Modi can`t keep Giriraj quiet then he has no right to be the country`s Prime Minister.
He further added that he has demanded action from Election Commission against Giriraj.
“This is not the first time Giriraj Singh is making such statements. I have demanded strong action against him from the EC,” said Khan.
