New Delhi: In the line of fire for his comments allegedly denigrating the Dalit community, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev released a set of photos on the social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter, claiming that he had respect for them.

Ramdev has been booked under the SC/ST Act for his remarks that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi goes to Dalit homes for `picnic and honeymoon`. The Election Commission has also banned Ramdev from campaigning for the BJP in Himachal Pradesh and Amethi.

An FIR was lodged against the Yoga Guru in Gorakhpur on Sunday and two more FIRs were filed in Patna and Agra against on Monday.

However, Ramdev has been maintaining that his comments were wrongly interpreted and that his intention was not to hurt the sentiments of the Dalit community or insult them.

The Congress has flayed Ramdev for his disparaging comments against their leader.

Zee Media Corp does not verify the authenticity of the photos released by Baba Ramdev.
