Kejriwal appoints 11 MLAs as district development committee heads

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday appointed 11 AAP MLAs as chairpersons to district development committees.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday appointed 11 AAP MLAs as chairpersons to district development committees.

The move is being seen as an attempt on the part of the AAP-led government to accommodate more MLAs in various government bodies.

An official release on the order said that the Chief Minister has appointed these chairpersons in exercise of his powers.

According to the list, Vishesh Ravi has been appointed chairperson of central district while Raju Dhingan of the east district.

Devinder Sehrawart and Ajesh Yadav have been appointed chairpersons of New Delhi and north districts respectively.

The chairperson of north-east district will be Dutt Sharma with Mohinder Goyel chairing the north-west District development committee.

Rajendra Pal Gautam will head the Shahdara committee, while Dinesh Mohaniya has been named for the south district committee.

Amanatullah Khan will be the chairperson of south-east district while Bhavana Gaur and Naresh Balyan will head south-west and west district committees respectively.
