New Delhi: In a terrifying incident that exposes the apathy of people in Delhi, a 20-year-old management student, busy in preparations for his elder sister's marriage, died on road waiting for help.
Vinay Jindal, a resident of Jhilmil in Vivek Vihar area of East Delhi, was riding on his scooty when he was hit by a speeding car at Kasturba Nagar traffic light on Monday night. Vinay lay on the road for some time waiting for help but no one came to his aid. He later died.
Vinay had lost his father at a young age.
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal today met Jindal's mother and said that if someone had helped the boy, he might have been alive today.

Vinay, a BBA student of IP University, was busy in the preparations of marriage of his elder sister scheduled for Tuesday.
He is survived by his sister and mother who are in deep shock over their loss.
A case of hit-and-run has been registered and CCTV footage is being examined to identify the vehicle which hit scooty of the deceased.
