In September this year, Khan was arrested in connection with a sexual harassment case filed against him by his sister-in-law and is currently out on bail. The woman who is Khan's brother-in-law's wife had alleged that the MLA had been harassing her for the last four years.
Khan, who is a member of the Hajj committee, was accused of several irregularities in recruitment in the Waqf Board following which he had to resign from all government posts. He was recently questioned by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) officials in connection with the scam.
The Waqf Board was dissolved by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on October 7 and all the appointments made by Khan were also quashed.
