Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning on Monday after intermittent showers hit the city last night bringing down mercury.

Traces of rainfall was recorded in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am in the city, the Met department said.

The minimum temperature settled at 26.2 degree Celsius, two notches below normal, even as the humidity remained on the higher side at 78 per cent in the morning.

The weatherman said humidity levels would rise during the day causing discomfort to the people in the city although the maximum temperature is expected to settle around 38 degrees Celsius.

A partly cloudy sky would prevail during the day and the city may receive one or two spells of light showers toward evening, the weatherman said.
