Delhi school principals to get more autonomy: Manish Sisodia

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on Monday that the state government has decided to give more power to the principals of its schools and remove administrative bottlenecks so that basic facilities can be provided in schools at the earliest.

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on Monday that the state government has decided to give more power to the principals of its schools and remove administrative bottlenecks so that basic facilities can be provided in schools at the earliest.

This was announced by Sisodia during the State Teachers Award Function.

He said that the government has now decided to give more power to principals, so that they get freedom from seeking administrative approvals for small works.

Sisodia said that the government favours complete autonomy for school principals, committees and teachers to ensure improvement in functioning of schools.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal added that education is top priority of his government. He appealed to the teachers to bring a revolution in education sector.
