New Delhi: In yet another incident that has put our society to shame, a four-year-old girl was raped by a 30-year-old man in Delhi.
The shocking incident occurred on Sunday evening in outer Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy when victim's mother left her alone at their home and went to buy grocery.
On returning after 10 minutes, she found her daughter missing. She launched a frantic search for her beloved daughter and found the accused sexually assaulting her daughter. He fled when she raised an alarm.
The hapless mother rushed her bleeding daughter to a nearby hospital where doctors found that the girl had suffered severe internal injuries on her private parts.
The minor is now recovering after surgery but her plight has once again highlighted the plight of the girl child.
The accused is now in police custody. He was produced in court, which sent him to 14 days in judicial custody.
