New Delhi: After spending a night at a Nari Niketan here and conducting and inspection of the facilities available in the complex, Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal described her experience as a "living hell) on Saturday morning.

Talking to ANI here, Maliwal said, "We did a surprise inspection at the Nari Niketan last night. We stayed here till the morning. This is a living hell."She further revealed, "Women who are mentally challenged are living with normal women, and they have to even share their beds with them. We are studying every single file and trying to provide them relief as soon as possible. The DCW is very serious about this issue. This is really a life of utter suffocation."

Targeting a nexus that she said possibly exists between Nari Niketan authorities and the Delhi Police, Maliwal told ANI, "There are many infrastructural problems. There are many women who have court orders and want to come out of Nari Nilketans in the city. But, they are forced to stay inside these Nari Niketans due to mis-coordination with the police."
