New Delhi: The danger was over at the Patel Nagar Metro station, which falls on the Blue Line running from Dwarka to Noida, after police were called on Sunday evening to enquire about presence of an alleged bomb, which later turned out to be a hoax call.
“Search operation was conducted at Patel Nagar Metro Station, after which it was found to be a hoax call,” news agency ANI quoted CISF PRO Hemendra Singh as saying.
Cops further informed that the person who made the hoax threat call to Patel Nagar Metro control room at 7:30 pm today, has been traced.
Shortly after the threat call was made the stoppage of the metro trains via Patel Nagar were halted. The Bomb Disposal Squad, Quick Reaction Team, Special Operation Team, Ambulance, dog squad, Delhi Police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a join operation at the site.
The entire station premises was cordoned off and thoroughly checked. Later, a clearance was given at 8:30 pm and the services were resumed. The entry and exit points were also thrown open for the public.
The DMRC had earlier said that services at the station will remain suspended till the search operations are over.
