Arvind Kejriwal accuses Narendra Modi of running Delhi, stalling work

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday vented out his anger against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government for interfering in the smooth functioning of the state government.

Speaking during the Budget Session of Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal said that though BJP had faced humiliating defeat in Delhi election, it is appointing its own people in state government.

“It is happening for the first time in history that a party which was defeated badly in elections is appointing both home secretary and ACB chief in Delhi government. If Advaniji talks about possibility of emergency then there must be something in it,” he said.

Taking a dig at BJP's poll promises, Kejriwal said, “Before elections BJP had promised to bring back black money, but after elections they said we'll organise Yoga event. They have forgotten black money and for Yoga asked everyone to bring their own mat.”

“I'm trying to meet PM Modi for the past 10-15 days, but he is very busy. The whole world is watching that PM is not letting Arvind Kejriwal work.,” he added.

Clarifying his government's stand on VAT Amendment Bill, Kejriwal said that they have only made amendments not increased VAT.

“Rumours are being spread that VAT is being increased. We have only amended VAT Bill and not raised inflation,” he said.
