Three CRPF jawans hurt in pressure bomb blast in Chhattisgarh

Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were today injured when a pressure bomb planted by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district exploded, police said.

Raipur: Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were today injured when a pressure bomb planted by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district exploded, police said.

 The incident took place in the forests near Burkapal paramilitary camp under Chintagufa police station limits while a road opening party of security forces was conducting its task, Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh said.

 Three jawans belonging to CRPF s 74th battalion sustained minor injuries in the explosion, he added.

 While cordoning off a near the camp, around 500 kms away from the state capital, a jawan inadvertently stepped over a pressure improvised explosive device (IED) triggering the blast injuring two more others, the ASP said.

 Soon after getting information of the incident, reinforcement was rushed to the spot and the injured were brought to the camp where they were being treated, he added.
