Woman lynches father-in-law in Bihar

Darbhanga: "An elderly man was today beaten to death by his daughter-in-law at a village in Bihar's Darbhanga district", a police officer said.

"Nathuni Mandal, 50, of Ilahi village was mercilessly beaten up with a stick by his daughter-in-law Aruna Devi after he intervened to stop the quarrel between her and another daughter-in-law Pawan Devi", SDPO Dilnawaz Ahmed said.

"A badly injured Mandal died on way to a hospital for treatment", he said.

"The daughter in-law has been arrested after her mother in-law Sarobari Devi lodged an FIR charging the former with murdering her husband", Ahmed said.

"The body has been sent for post-mortem", the police officer said.
