Three teachers sent to jail in girl's disappearance case

 Three teachers of a reputed school of the city were on Friday sent to 14-day judicial custody in the case of a girl going missing from the school recently.

Patna: Three teachers of a reputed school of the city were on Friday sent to 14-day judicial custody in the case of a girl going missing from the school recently.

The three teachers were produced in the court of In-charge Magistrate Jyoti Prakash who sent them to judicial custody till April 2.

The teachers were taken to Phulwarisharif jail later.

The girl, who was rescued from Patna Railway station last night, was also brought to the court of the Magistrate. The court ordered her medical examination.

Following intense interrogation of the teachers, the police gained the clue about the missing girl and found her from platform number one of Patna Junction last night, Senior Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said.

The girl, a student of DAV Public School at BSEB Colony here, had gone to school along with her father to pay her class 12 fees on February 28. She went inside with Rs 62,000 in her bag to deposit it but soon came out and handed it back to her father. She went inside again not to return.

Bihar Human Rights Commission (BHRC) had two days back took suo motu cognizance of the disappearance of a 17-year-old girl and directed Patna Senior Superintendent of Police to file a progress report in the case within a week.
