Gaya/New Delhi: Despite bomb blasts by Maoists and a baton charge at the Gandhi Maidan here, a sea of supporters gathered to hear Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi speak on Thursday.
Acknowledging the massive turnout, Gujarat Chief Minister said, “What I am seeing today is not like a usual election rally. There are people as far as I can see.”

He asked the people of Gaya to herald change, and said, “Seeing this rally I can say that the days of Bharat Vijay are here."

Modi said, “Those sitting behind closed doors are spreading lies. I request them to please come here and see this ground.”

He asked the crowd, "You tell me who will form a government in Delhi," eliciting loud response of "BJP" from them.”

“In the last decade was there any change in your lives? Did women safety improve,” he asked he crowd to loud “Nahi (no) from them.

And said, “What is the value of the Government that cannot give you anything?”

Referring to the serial blasts in Bodh Gaya, Modi said, “(JDU says) Let there be bombs, let people die but my chair must remain. This attitude has ruined Bihar and India. Sadly the Government here was not bothered about what happened in Gaya. Their sole worry is not to disturb their vote-bank politics.”

“There should be no terrorism and terrorists must be punished but can those sitting in Delhi & Patna do this," he asked.

There is a need to affirm that terrorism must end, said the Gujarat Chief Minister.

“Lakhs of tourists come to Bihar, inspired by Lord Buddha. And tourism gives opportunities to the poorest of the poor,” averred Modi.

Attacking the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar, he said that in the wake of the Bodh Gaya terror attacks, the arrival of tourists has dropped in the region. And added, “Who gained (from all this)? Their (JD(U) and Congress`) chair is saved but poor lost opportunities to earn livelihood.”

“Terrorism divides but tourism unites. This is a land of integration not division. Why was blood spilled here?” he asked.

In a veiled dig at Congress party`s talk of RTI and empowerment, Modi said, “They keep talking about Rights. Nation is tired of your acts, nation needs action."

Taking on the Congress, he said, “They promise manufacturing sector growth by 10% but reality is different. See their track record. It has taken the nation backwards.”

“They promised to create jobs and focus on skill development. What is their track record? Nothing has been done,” he added.

“When they (Congress) say they will introduce anti-corruption do you believe them,” he asked, and received a loud `no` from the crowd.

“Congress says they will bring back black money but do you believe them? Did you bring a Rupee back in 10 years,”said Modi.

About he concept of rural courts, the BJP leader said, “They said they will start rural courts. In 2009 also they promises the same. Sadly, in 5 years very few were built."

“Concept of fast track courts was started by Vajpayee ji. In 2011 they stopped giving money for them and now they talk fast track courts,” he added.
