New Delhi: Hours before JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar is set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar, former minister and Dalit leader Ramai Ram has demanded that he be appointed as the deputy CM of the state.
“I have demanded from Nitish Kumar that I be made the Deputy CM,” Ram was quoted saying by ANI.
The veteran politician has also served as the transport minister in the Jitan Ram Manji's government.
After the end of political crisis in Bihar, Nitish is set to take oath as the chief minister for the fourth time today evening.
Assam CM Tarun Gogoi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav, Haryana leaders Abhay Chautala, Dushyant Chautala and former Jharkhand chief minister Babu Lal Marandi will attend the oath ceremony at Raj Bhavan where Nitish will be administered oath by Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi.
