Patna: Women, who are an important half of the Bihar population, seem to trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA over JD(U)-RJD alliance when it comes to their safety, education and overall development, a survey predicted on Friday.

The survey conducted by Zee Media Corp reveals that 57.5% of women in Bihar believe that NDA government in the state will benefit the fairer sex more.

However, 36% of women electorates have faith in Grand Alliance and only 6.5% think that other parties will empower them.

At a time when all the parties contesting for Bihar are wooing the women voters, the survey may bring some respite to the NDA.

For 2015 Bihar Assembly elections the BJP has fielded a large number of women candidates in various prominent constituencies.

Besides BJP, JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar is also in the race to woo women voters. As a chief minister of the state he had made announcements benefiting the women – one being on contractual teachers.
