The mystery surrounding the death of a 24-year-old anchor, Arpita Tiwary, had deepened with her post-mortem report. According to the report, she died due to multiple injuries but there was no sign of any sexual assault.

Though the post-mortem report says that there was no suffocation or strangulation, the police has not dismissed the possibility of murder. They even recreated the crime scene in a bid to ascertain the cause of the death.

She was found dead at a building in Malwani area in Mumbai. Arpita was reportedly in a relationship and about to get married.

According to sources, Arpita wanted to end the relationship with her boyfriend Pankaj Jadhav.

After a late-night event on Sunday, Arpita, a resident of Mira Road, did not return home and instead went to a flat in Malwani area with her boyfriend. It was earlier said that she jumped from the 15th floor of that building, suffering serious injuries to which she succumbed.

Two other friends of Jadhav were present at the flat at the time of the incident. They realised only on Monday morning that Arpita was missing and the bathroom door was locked from inside.

Following this, they reportedly went on a search for her and later, with the help of fire-fighting personnel, they discovered her body in an adjacent building.

The police said that there was no suicide note at the spot.

One of her close friends and an event management company owner Lucky Sharma said that Arpita had no finance-related trouble. Sharma said that he suspected the role of her friends in her death.
