The India Meteorological Department (MeT) has forcast that Maharashtra will continue to experience incessent rainfall till the middle of this week, with "heavy to extremely heavy rain" predicted in Pune, parts of Vidarbha and Konkan till August 8.

The highway between Mumbai to Nashik closed from one side of the road after a huge crack developed in the road due to incessant rain occurring in the state. There has been continuous rain in the area. Side of the road from Mumbai to Nashik has been closed down.

The Central Railways is initiating a shuttle service between Karjat and Panvel areas of Maharashtra in order to allow the commuters to freely travel on harbour or trans-harbour suburban section.

Several passengers were stranded at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus railway station after 12 trains were cancelled, and many others were shortly-terminated, diverted, or rescheduled, following heavy rains in the city. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) distributed refreshment packages to the stranded passengers.
