Update: This story has been updated after the response from Audi India and Kiara's PR team. It's a developing story.
Audi India recently shared photographs of Audi A8L, the flagship sedan from the German luxury carmaker with Kiara Advani and Audi India's MD Balbir Singh Dhillon. The post on the social media pages of Audi India reads, "Progress and creativity go hand in hand. We’re happy to welcome kiaraaliaadvani to the Audi experience"
While Audi didn't mention whether or not Kiara has bought the vehicle, a report was filed stating she has become a proud owner of the new Audi A8L worth Rs 1.56 crore (ex-showroom).

Later in the day, the PR team of Kiara Advani reached out to Zee News and other media organizations stating she has not bought the car but has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the German luxury carmaker. The press release from Kiara's team mentioned - "Becoming the first female ambassador of the luxury car Audi India, Kiara Advani has added another feather to her cap, joining the league of Virat Kohli and Regè- Jean Page who earlier associated with the brand."'
A quick search on the web to find the owner of the Audi A8L in the background yielded us an interesting result. As per the result, the Audi A8L is owned by Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd.
As for the Audi A8L, it was launched back in February 2020 and is offered only a single 55 TFSI trim level. The new Audi A8L is the flagship sedan of the German luxury carmaker competing against the likes of Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series.
It is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine that is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and comes with a permanent all-wheel drive system. The engine produces 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque and is also equipped with 48V mild-hybrid technology with a 10Ah lithium-ion battery pack.
