Asus, aiming for a larger pie of the premium segment in India, launched its latest smartphone edition Asus Zenfone AR on Thursday. It is said to be the world's first smartphone with 8GB RAM and sports Google Tango-enabled technology. The smartphone was released in Taiwan at a price of TWD 24,990 (roughly Rs. 53,000).

Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company ASUSTeK Computer Inc. also known as ASUS, is one of the world's largest computer hardware companies. Its products include desktops, PC peripherals, laptops, smartphones, tablets and hybrid devices. The company already deals in Android phones powered by Intel and Qualcomm SoCs. The latest edition of Asus is claimed to be the best production from the company's end so far.
