New Delhi: A Toddler has reportedly locked his mother's iPhone for 48 years after repeatedly inserting wrong passcode.

As per media reports, the Ms Lu from Shanghai left her two-year-old son to watch educational videos on her iphone but was later shocked to find it had been locked for 25 million minutes or 48 years.

Media reports, quoting the Ms Lu has said that she does not want to reboot her phone because she fears losing all her pictures, contacts and other files.

Meanhwile, a technician at an Apple store has reportedly told the woman that she can either wait 48 years or do a factory reset.

However, the possibility of locking an iPhone for 48 years seems a difficult task.

According to technology website 9to5Mac, if you insert a wrong passcode between 1 to 5 times, you will get only red notifications saying the passcode is wrong. However, if you  insert a wrong passcode for the 6th time you, it will say – iPhone is disabled, try again in 1 minute. If you do so for the 7th time, the iPhone will show, – iPhone is disabled, try again in 5 minutes. On the 8th time, the iPhone will be locked for 15 minutes and on the 9th time, the iphone it will be locked for 60 minutes to insert passcode again.

If you still insert the wrong passcode for 10th time, the iPhone will be disabled and you will have to connect it to iTunes to unlock.
