Several Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter users are spreading the news about how a phone call from 777888999 can set your phone on fire and may get you killed.
"VERY URGENT? Don't attend any Call from this mobile number...777888999..... If u attend then your mobile will blast .....pl maximum share to your friends ...," one of the few chain messages read.
777888999 is a hoax and why so?
This message clearly seems to be a hoax. It is irrational to even argue how a call from 777888999 can make a phone blast. Additionally 777888999 is a nine-digit number –which means that it can't work in India. Now presuming that it is international number, where is the country code then?
So, if you have lately been receiving such frantic messages, stop the chain panic there. Best adviced, avoid sharing such messages!
