Mumbai rains threaten Diwali washout, Twitter compares it to the ex who refuses to move on

Mumbai: This Diwali season, rains in Mumbai are playing a dampener with heavy showers in most parts of the city. Giving no respite to the residents, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more showers in the coming days due to the development of a depression in the Bay of Bengal.

According to Met department, the rain is part of the monsoon withdrawal. IMD officials have said monsoon withdrawal is generally complete by the first week of October, but this time it is delayed. "The showers generally last for a few hours, but at times they become heavy," the IMD said.

While most are feeling upset for having been forced to stay indoors, Twitter users seem to be having their share of fun.
