Suspension of 12 MPs - Mallikarjun Kharge writes to Venkaiah Naidu, asks to reconsider decision

The Opposition MPs staged a walkout after Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu rejected the request for the revocation of suspension of 12 MPs. Now, the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till December 1.

Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday (November 30) rejected the request for the revocation of suspension of 12 MPs. Following Naidu's rejection, the Opposition leaders staged a walkout from the Upper House.

The members of the Upper House were suspended on Monday for the entire Winter Session of Parliament for their "unruly" conduct in the previous session in August.

Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashoka on Tuesday (November 30) said that the state is likely to seek Rs 1,100 crore as relief from the Centre for damages caused during the recent rains. "The report we have to submit to the Centre is getting ready.
