Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police on Friday recovered the body of a 19-year-old boy, son of an income tax officer.

The deceased was abducted from near his house in Bengaluru's Kengeri area at 6:30 PM on September 12.

As per reports, the police have arrested six, including a friend of the deceased named Vishal.

The 19-year-old, identified as Sharath, was a second-year student of automobile engineering.

When Sharath did not return home till late evening on September 12, his parents got worried, and registered a police complaint.

His parents and sister reportedly received a WhatsApp video message in which the abductors asked them to arrange Rs 50 lakh as ransom. In the video, Sharath was filmed telling his parents that he was being tortured.

The police found his body near Ramohalli lake on the outskirts of the city on Friday.
