Five killed while extracting coal illegally from closed mine in Jharkhand's Giridih

In Jharkhand, more than 500 people have died while extracting coal from closed mines.

Ranchi: Five people extracting coal illegally from a closed mine were killed on Saturday as it caved in Jharkhand`s Giridih district, police said.

The incident took place at the Kabribad mine where around 300 people were extracting coal illegally, a police official said.
