Srinagar: A group of heavily armed terrorists attacked a joint police post in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Friday evening but no casualties were reported.

According to reports, the terrorists opened fire on a joint post belonging to the J&K Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Shopian's Keegam.

"Terrorists fired at Keegam police post. There is no report of any damage or casualty so far," a police officer said.

CRPF, however, retaliated strongly after terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on their police post.

Exchange of fire continued for some minutes after which the terrorists fled from the scene.
