Srinagar: Authorities on Tuesday put Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq along with his secretary advocate Shahid-ul-Islam under house arrest in Srinagar, police said.
Mirwaiz was scheduled to attend a commemoration meeting in the old city`s Aali Kadal area.
